Determining valid condition values
This section is mainly relevant for decision tables with rule groups in which several rules are run through one after another in a test case.
LF‑ET automatically "recognizes" the values of the condition used and subsequently only allows the following rules to be run in which these conditions are either present with the same values or are irrelevant.
Sometimes, however, permissible values of conditions can be changed by "other circumstances", such as e.g. execution of a specific action, condition or rule which cannot be recognized automatically by LF‑ET, as shown e.g. in the following example.

In order for the area "Determine possible condition values" in the test instruction editor to be able to be unfolded, a link must be established to a test instruction subgroup for determining permissible condition values. All details of internal processing of individual instructions during test case generation can be followed in detail in the determining permissible condition values log. |
