From one condition to another or from one action to another

Inserting a value that is of the same type (i.e. condition or action value) but from another condition or action, or also from another decision table.

In the rule cells of the main screen

The symbol of the value is pasted from clipboard in the rule cell as first.

Finally, a check is run to find out whether there is already a value with the same symbol in the value table.

There is no value with the same symbol in the value table yet:

⇒ Insert as a new value

If there is no value with the same symbol, the value is pasted from clipboard as a new value, along with all related information, such as e.g. text, source codes and links.

⇒ Possibly only update the description

If there is already a value with the same symbol, a check is run to find out if the description of the value in clipboard differs from the description of the value with the matching symbol; if so, the description of the value in the value table is updated.

If the next rule cell on the right is empty, the focus is automatically set to this cell after insertion. As a result, multiple cells can be quickly filled with a value (e.g., simply holding down STRG + V ).

In the value table editor

Here it is only checked whether there is already a value with the same symbol in the value table or not:
