Copying, cutting, pasting

Pasting

There are several possibilities of pasting:

Using the menu bar

  • Select paste before or paste after from the Edit menu.

Using the icon bar

  • Click paste before 01 or paste after 02 in the icon bar.

Using the context menu

  • Right-click and select paste before or paste after from the context menu.

Using keyboard shortcuts

  • The content of clipboard is pasted after the selected section using CTRL + V whereas with CTRL +  SHIFT + V it is pasted before.

Important notes

  • Depending on whether there is a condition, action or rule in the clipboard, only the corresponding paste function is active.

  • Only elements of the same type can be pasted, e.g. if a rule is selected, only a rule (not a condition or action) can be pasted from clipboard.

  • Conditions, actions, condition values and action values can also be exchanged between decision tables via clipboard.

If condition or action values are pasted into a rule cell from clipboard and the next cell to the right is empty, the focus is automatically set to this next empty cell after pasting. Thus, multiple cells can be quickly filled with a value (e.g. simply by holding down CTRL + V ).
